Extruded Concrete Bridge Deck as the New American Cathedral

The Belleair Bridge is one of the first to continuously extrude its deck from the anchorage base, resulting in a very clean bottom, supported by post-modernist gothic arches.

    The second to last photo, the large one of the bridge at night, wow, that could be a postcard. Does this bridge replace an older version that was determined to be unstable or is this a new span completely, an extra way to get across?
